A new card will be issued to your child.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-spacer.kt-block-spacer-630_7a0550-3f .kt-block-spacer{height:60px;}.wp-block-kadence-spacer.kt-block-spacer-630_7a0550-3f .kt-divider{border-top-width:1px;height:1px;border-top-color:#eee;width:80%;border-top-style:solid;}<\/style>\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-spacer aligncenter kt-block-spacer-630_7a0550-3f\"><div class=\"kt-block-spacer kt-block-spacer-halign-center\"><hr class=\"kt-divider\"\/><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:16px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">R\u00e9seau de transport de Longueuil (RTL)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide\" style=\"grid-template-columns:19% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rsb.ca-avance.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/RTL_logo_2015_couleur_150X99.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12639 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible students will receive their OPUS card in the first days of the start of the school year. <strong>This OPUS card will already be loaded (paid) <\/strong>with a school pass <strong>with restriction<\/strong> allowing them to use the RTL public transport service from Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., throughout the school year (excluding the holiday season, spring break and statutory holidays). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cost of the OPUS card ($15) will be charged directly to parents on the 25-26 school supply invoice, unless there is notice of withdrawal or non-recovery of the OPUS card.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If parents wish, they will have the <strong>option<\/strong> to purchase the school pass <strong>without restriction<\/strong>, which will allow access to RTL lines at any time for the 10 months of the school year. This purchase, in the amount of <strong>$208<\/strong>, can be made by going to the ticket office, following the reception of your new OPUS card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To find out if your child is eligible for school transportation, parents can check the school transportation notice which will be posted in the Mozaik Parents portal AS of August 22, 2025. If it says PUBLIC TRANSPORT, this means that your child&#8217;s school transportation will be on RTL buses and they will receive their new OPUS card at school at the start of the school year. In the event that the OPUS card could not be produced during the summer, the parents concerned will receive an email at the beginning of the August month to notify them of the procedure to obtain it at the ticket office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the 2025-2026 school year, the transportation agreement between Riverside school board and the (RTL) will allow more than 1,300 high school students to use public transportation to get to and from school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FAQ<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"schema-faq wp-block-yoast-faq-block\"><div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1719498264468\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">Who is eligible? <\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">To be eligible, the student must reside in the zone predetermined by the Riverside school board. <\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1719498323294\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">How do I know if the transportation organized for my child will be on RTL buses? <\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Transport information for the 2025-2026 school year will be available on Moza\u00efk portal from August 22, 2025. If the type indicated is \u201cPUBLIC TRANSPORT\u201d, this means that your child will be transported with an RTL bus. <br\/><br\/>Instructions for connecting to <a href=\"https:\/\/rsb.ca-avance.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MozaikPortailParents-29aout2022.pdf\">Moza\u00efk parents<\/a>.<br\/><br\/>It is essential that you inform the school of any change of address for your child, as transportation is planned based on information provided by parents. <\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1719498676666\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">What is a restricted school pass? <\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Riverside school board offers eligible students a school restricted permit allowing them to use the RTL public transportation service from Monday to Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. from September 2, 2025, to June 30, 2026, excluding the holiday period &#8211; Spring break and public holidays. There are no fees for parents for this educational qualification. <\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1719498808546\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">How to obtain the OPUS card and the transport tickets? At school : <\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">OPUS cards and transport school tickets for students eligible for the school pass with restriction will be produced massively by the RTL during the summer period. To do this, Riverside School Board will send the RTL the required information concerning eligible students according to the data appearing in their file dated in June 2025. During the month of August, the school will receive the OPUS cards thus produced and will ensure distribution to students during the first days of school. <br\/><br\/><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: the $15 fee linked to the issuance of the OPUS card will be invoiced to parents by Riverside school board via the 2024-2025 school supply invoice, unless they have notified us of their <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=yvU1dacAMEmZUTDT5qxcGunuqq_sR8JBiZ693A9lsaBUNDAxVkJOQ0UwQzNMRUZROURUMVoyUTYzSC4u&amp;web=1&amp;wdLOR=c44256926-2A7A-4590-9CE1-5A94293380D6\">withdrawal<\/a> or if the students do not recover their OPUS card at school. <\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1719499010329\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">At the Ticket Counter:<\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">A student who finds himself in one of the following situations must go to the Longueuil terminal ticket counter to obtain his OPUS card and his school transport pass with restriction: <br\/><br\/>&#8211; The student for whom the RTL was unable to produce the OPUS card during the summer period (the parents of the students concerned will be notified by email).<br\/>&#8211; The student who registered at school after June 17, 2025.<br\/><br\/>Before going to the ticket counter, the student must make an appointment on the RTL reservation platform by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inscriptweb.com\/rtl\/FR\/\">clicking here<\/a>. <br\/><br\/>During their appointment, the student must ensure that they have in their possession the RTL eligibility certificate provided by the school and follow the RTL directives regarding the issuance of the OPUS card at a reduced rate for students. In particular, students who do not have an OPUS card must also present the duly <a href=\"https:\/\/cssmv.gouv.qc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/formulaire-dobtention-dune-carte-opus-rtl-1.pdf\">completed Reduced Rate OPUS Card Form<\/a>. The cost of the OPUS card is set at $15 at the ticket counter. <br\/><br\/>All the details relating to obtaining the OPUS card are available in the Student Zone section of the RTL website by clicking on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtl-longueuil.qc.ca\/services\/zone-etudiants\/\">this link<\/a>.
